Dve fotografiji mladoporočencev z zadnje poroke.

Portret očeta v infrardeči tehniki. Odkrivam očem skrit svet infrardečega spektra, se učim in ob tem neizmerno uživam. IR sicer portretom ravno ne laska (čeprav zna polt prav prijetno zgladiti), vendar očetovemu izgledu in karakterju kar paše, se vam ne zdi?
Father’s portrait in infrared technique. Lately, I’ve been discovering the hidden world of infrared spectrum and learning it’s secrets. I must say I enjoy it greatly. IR is not really flattering for portraiture (although it clears all the blemishes from the skin), but It kind of suits my father’s look and character, don’t you think?

Portret, oz. bolje rečeno mini serija portretov fotografa Boruta Peterlina. Tile duhoviti portreti so nastali čisto spontano na včerajšnji otvoritvi njegove razstave z naslovom Družinski album, v Galeriji Laterna v Črnomlju, kjer so razstavljeni njegovi družinski portreti v klasični analogni tehniki in posebni starinski tehniki mokri kolodij. (več informacij o njegovem delu lahko najdete na www.borutpeterlin.com)
Tile portreti so upodobljeni z mojim DSLR aparatom, predelanim tako, da beleži le infrardeč spekter svetlobe.
A portrait, or should I say a mini series of portraits of an excellent Slovenian photographer Borut Peterlin. These witty portraits happened completely spontaneously at the opening of his solo exhibition, titled “Družinski album” (Family album), in the gallery Laterna in Črnomelj, Slovenia. The exhibition displays his family portraits made in classic analogue and wet collodion technique. (more info on his work avaliable at www.borutpeterlin.com)
These portraits are captured with my infrared converted DSLR camera.

Miren dan, ko v zraku obvisi občutek zatišja pred dežjem in se po dolini vse ustavi in veter rahlo piha, skozi oblake pa še malo sveti sonce. Posnetek je narejen v infrardečem spektru.
A quiet day with that feeling of calm before the storm suspensed in the atmosphere, when everything stops in the valley and the wind blows gently with few rays of sun pearcing through the clouds. This photograph is taken in the infrared spectrum.

Moj prijatelj Jazbec je odlični blues orgličar. Ob spremljavi njegovih nežnih melodij, ti domišljija kar hitro odtava in podre vse meje. Kot večina fotografij zadnje čase, sta bili tudi ti dve posneti v IR…
My friend Jazbec (jazbec is badger in Slovenian language) is an excellent blues harp player. When listening to his subtle harp tunes, your imagination just lifts off and overcomes the boundaries. Like most of the photos I took lately, these two are also infrared…

Ulični trenutek v infrardečem spektru, ki beleži močne kontraste sončnega dne med žarečim drevjem in kontrastno stavbo v ozadju.
Street moment caught in an infrared spectrum, which makes deep contrasts between radiant foliage and urban building.

Zadnje čase se posvečam predvsem odkrivanju neznank očem skritega “IR” sveta. Za spremembo en podeželski motiv, oz. bolje rečeno portret. Tale mladenka naju je prav zvedavo gledala in skoraj pozirala, medtem ko je vihtela rep in odganjala nadležne muhe…
Lately, I have been mostly discovering the hidden world beyond our visible spectrum, “the infrared world”. Here is a slightly different countryside motif, to break the urban scenery string.. This young lady was curiously watching us, while swinging her tail to chase away the annoying flies. I think she was really flirting with our cameras.
