Arhitekturni vzorci / Architectural patterns

Category : Arhitektura · (2) Comments · by Sep 30th, 2012

Nedavno sem zamenjal svojo kompletno digitalno opremo. No, skoraj… Tehnični podatki: Nikon D700, ISO 200, Nikkor 35 mm f2.0, f/11, 30 s.

I have recently changed all of my photographic equipment. Well, almost… I still have my IR converted K200d with 40 mm lens for my infrared work. And, since I have quite some new eqipment that I need to test out and get used to, I took my Nikkor 35/2 out for a walk in a very photogenic night architectural environment… The combination of architecture, street lighting and blue light is really stunning! Technical data: Nikon D700, ISO 200, Nikkor 35 mm f2.0, f/11, 30 s.

Vabilo na samostojno fotografsko razstavo “Ljubljana – očem skrito” / Invitation to my photo exhibiton “Ljubljana – hidden to the naked eye”

Category : Infrared, Urbana fotografija · (2) Comments · by Sep 26th, 2012

I would kindly like to invite you to visit my photographic exhibition “Ljubljana – hidden to the naked eye”. In this series of photographs, I am discovering the hidden part of Ljubljana through infrared photography, which lets us capture the light beyond the sensitivity of our naked eye. This adds some mysteria and surreality to the motif.
The opening is on Tuesday, the 2nd of October 2012 at 8 p.m. at Kavarni in galeriji Pilon on Prešernova cesta 15 in Ljubljana.

Trije “Medvedki” – Portret fotografinje / The three little “Bears” – A photojournalist’s portrait

Category : Portret, Urbana fotografija · No Comments · by Sep 24th, 2012

I helped an Italian photojournalist Eloisa d’Orsi with some contats for her reportage on multiculturalism, which she made in Ljubljana. Me and my significant other also took her for some sightseeing of our little town, when I made this portrait of her. I found this interesting scene and invited Eloisa to sit on a chair. It was not until later when I sent her a photo, that she told me d’Orso actually means “Bears” in Italian language… So, I made a portrait with three little “bears” 🙂 What a coincidece, huh?!

Evropsko mladinsko klubsko prvenstvo v atletiki – Ljubljana 2012 /U European athletics junior’s club championship – Ljubljana 2012

Category : reportaža, Šport · No Comments · by Sep 17th, 2012

Last Saturday, on the 15th of Semptember, Ljubljana hosted this year’s European athletics junior’s club championship. Our country was represented by men’s junior team of AD Mass track & field club. They placed 4th and managed to stay in the A league. As a photographer, I was invited by an event manager to cover the event. It was also a perfect opportunity to try out my new photographic equipment (very satisfied, but more on that on another occasion…). I made lots of good photos, too much to publish all, so I’ll show just a few action shots here.

“Moj oči je ragbijaš!” / “My father’s a rugby player!”

Well, my father is also a rugby player, but this post is not about him… On Saturday, I visited a rugby match of Rugby klub Ljubljana, where I worked on a personal photographic project (it will be published soon, but I have one more roll of film to develop…), and I also made a portrait of probably the youngest Rugby klub Ljubljana fan. On film, ofcourse! This is Ana, her father is a rugby player.

Anže Godec, analogni portret / Anže Godec, analog portrait

Portret fotografa Anžeta Godca. Predvsem pa obilo lastnega veselja, ko sem pri razvijanju filma prebil led in dobil resnično dober rezultat. Vse je v potrpljenju, pravijo. In prav tega imam dosti! Portret sem naredil s srednjeformatno kamero Zenza Bronica ETRS, objektivom Zenzanon 150/3.5 pri zaslonki 3.5, uporabil sem srebrn odbojnik in rumen filter ter Kodak 400TX film. Film sem razvil v Ilfordovem Ilfosol 3 razvijalcu v razmerju 1+14.

A portrait of a photographer Anže Godec. And above all, lots of joy as I finally nailed the film development process and got some pretty good results. It’s all about patience, they say. And I got plenty! For this portrait I used a Zenza Bronica ETRS medium format cameram Zenzanon 150/3.5 lens at widest aperture, silver reflector and a yellow filter on the lens. I used the Kodak 400TX film and developed it in Ilford’s Ilfosol 3 developer. 1+14 dillution.
