Ekipni duh, Rugby klub Ljubljana / Team spirit, Rugby klub Ljubljana

I couple of weeks ago I made a series of portraits with these amazing guys from Rugby klub Ljubljana – real tough guys. The idea was to make a series of portraits right after the match has ended and collect the portraits into a collage, where their amazing team spirit could really stand out. Below you can see the portaits in bigger size. The series is made on medium format camera Bronica ETRS with 75/2.8 lens and shot on EFKE 100 film.

Here you can take a look at the portraits in bigger size.

Ljubljana – Očem skrito, serija IR fotografij / Ljubljana – Hidden to the naked eye, a series of IR photographs

Category : Črnobela fotografija, Infrared · (5) Comments · by Oct 22nd, 2012

Pohitite, preden vam uide v Beograd!

As many of you already know, I spent a lot of time this year discovering my hometown Ljubljana with Infrared converted DSLR camera. IR is a special photographic technique, in my case digital, where the camera’s CCD sensor is modified to capture IR light spectrum, invisible to the naked eye. The human eye is only capable of seeing the so called “Visible spectrum” which spreads from approximately 380 to 730 nm wave length, but the above mentioned IR filter only lets wavelengths greater than 830 nm to fall on the sensor. This series of 13 monochrome photographs was started as my personally motivated photographic challenge to discover something new and never before seen in my hometown. It is currently on display in Pilon kavarna in galerija until the end of October and then reopens on the 20th of November in Galerija Kuglaš in Belgrade, Serbia. I kindly invite all of those who have missed it, to visit Pilon kavarna in galerija and take a look of a slightly different perspective of our beautiful city of Ljubljana. Prints on display are 50 x 70 cm big. Hurry up, before it flies off to Belgrade!

Vzorci, linije in mreže / Patterns, lines and grids

Category : Arhitektura, Črnobela fotografija · (4) Comments · by Oct 16th, 2012

Vzorci, mreže, kvadrati, linije, diagonale… Kamorkoli usmerim pogled, oko išče nekaj od tega. Verjetno zato vseskozi nosim s seboj aparat… No, tole arhitekturno fotografijo sem posnel danes med fotkanjem v Narodnem in prirodoslovnem muzeju. Naj bo svetlobe, kajne?!

Patterns, grids, squares, lines, diagonals… My eye’s are constatly searching for them wherever I go. It’s probably the reason why I always carry my camera with me… Well, I made this architectural photo today while shooting for an assignment at National and Natural History Museum. Let there be light, isn’t that right?!

Optimizem abstrakcije/ Abstract’s optimism

Tokrat ne bom nič pisal. Konec koncev je abstrakt. Naj si ga vsak po svoje interpretira…

This time, I think I won’t write anything about the photo. After all, it’s an abstraction. Interpret it your own way…

Nadzorni stolp / Air traffic control

Category : Arhitektura, Urbana fotografija · (6) Comments · by Oct 9th, 2012

Takole sem danes ujel mestne ptice: Kot ponavadi, obseden z geometrijo in linijami, začuda tokrat brez diagonal… Malo drugačen nadzorni stolp letalskega prometa

A fresh one from this morning. It appears that I lately tend to search for motifs in the skies (well, except for the previous post). This is how I captured these city birds today: As usual, obsessed with geometry and lines, but oddly no diagonals this time… A slightly different air traffic control tower

Nekje med nebom in zemljo / Somwhere between the sky and earth

Category : Analogna fotografija · (2) Comments · by Oct 6th, 2012

Triplastna abstrakcija brez manipulacije v post produkciji. Odsev v vodi, tekstura dna, jeklena konstrukcija in urban element združeni v eni sami ekspozicji…

Three layered abstraction made without manipulation in post production. In order to get things right in photography, it is sometimes necessary to turn them upside down. A reflection in water, textured bottom, steel construction and an urban element joined into one single exposure…
