Ljubljana – Očem skrito, serija IR fotografij / Ljubljana – Hidden to the naked eye, a series of IR photographs

Category : Črnobela fotografija, Infrared · (5) Comments · by Oct 22nd, 2012

Pohitite, preden vam uide v Beograd!

As many of you already know, I spent a lot of time this year discovering my hometown Ljubljana with Infrared converted DSLR camera. IR is a special photographic technique, in my case digital, where the camera’s CCD sensor is modified to capture IR light spectrum, invisible to the naked eye. The human eye is only capable of seeing the so called “Visible spectrum” which spreads from approximately 380 to 730 nm wave length, but the above mentioned IR filter only lets wavelengths greater than 830 nm to fall on the sensor. This series of 13 monochrome photographs was started as my personally motivated photographic challenge to discover something new and never before seen in my hometown. It is currently on display in Pilon kavarna in galerija until the end of October and then reopens on the 20th of November in Galerija Kuglaš in Belgrade, Serbia. I kindly invite all of those who have missed it, to visit Pilon kavarna in galerija and take a look of a slightly different perspective of our beautiful city of Ljubljana. Prints on display are 50 x 70 cm big. Hurry up, before it flies off to Belgrade!

Do naslednjič,
Luka
