HiGashi, deejay

Category : Portret · No Comments · by Feb 24th, 2013

Me and Gashi already did a portrait once, but we repeated the session in color with some “cool” factor, as it was quite cold and his breath added to the atmosphere. Once again we used his red “Lennon-style” glasses, as Gashi is one of the few people, besides Lennon of course, that can wear them with style!
I used two speedlights for this portrait. One was set behind him and pointed slightly upwards to illuminate the background and his breath and also act as a kicker to light his silhuette. The other one was used with a shoot through umbrella to illuminate his face.

Ekipni duh, Rugby klub Ljubljana / Team spirit, Rugby klub Ljubljana

I couple of weeks ago I made a series of portraits with these amazing guys from Rugby klub Ljubljana – real tough guys. The idea was to make a series of portraits right after the match has ended and collect the portraits into a collage, where their amazing team spirit could really stand out. Below you can see the portaits in bigger size. The series is made on medium format camera Bronica ETRS with 75/2.8 lens and shot on EFKE 100 film.

Trije “Medvedki” – Portret fotografinje / The three little “Bears” – A photojournalist’s portrait

Category : Portret, Urbana fotografija · No Comments · by Sep 24th, 2012

I helped an Italian photojournalist Eloisa d’Orsi with some contats for her reportage on multiculturalism, which she made in Ljubljana. Me and my significant other also took her for some sightseeing of our little town, when I made this portrait of her. I found this interesting scene and invited Eloisa to sit on a chair. It was not until later when I sent her a photo, that she told me d’Orso actually means “Bears” in Italian language… So, I made a portrait with three little “bears” 🙂 What a coincidece, huh?!

“Moj oči je ragbijaš!” / “My father’s a rugby player!”

Well, my father is also a rugby player, but this post is not about him… On Saturday, I visited a rugby match of Rugby klub Ljubljana, where I worked on a personal photographic project (it will be published soon, but I have one more roll of film to develop…), and I also made a portrait of probably the youngest Rugby klub Ljubljana fan. On film, ofcourse! This is Ana, her father is a rugby player.
